Academie Resources
Founded over a century ago, Academie du Monde has benefited greatly from the generous endowments of its benefactors and research alumni. In the four major libraries located on our storied campus, there are over 100,000 rare and otherwise vital documents and books that contribute to the research efforts of those who travel here from the world-over.

In addition, the Academie has an extensive array of digital technologies to aid research efforts include secure high-speed Internet connections, computerized document key-term search machines, and on-site digital photography and photocopy services. These services are available on a per piece cost basis, or we will gladly set up accounts for on-going and long-term research projects.

Finally, the opportunity to live and work in the Gothic buildings of Academie du Monde is one of the most enjoyable reasons researchers in the Humanities travel to our campus. There are limited living quarters on campus located along the beautiful waters of l'Escaut, and each room in the stone towers of Leray Hall overlook the river. Housing is subsidized by endowments, with each tenet providing only minimal expenses for meals and laundry. On-campus housing is provided for periods of three days to six months, and is available through considerably advanced reservation only.
